A mystery hidden in the Rann of Kutch😲
“The dawn never tells you whether the day will be different. It does not whispers the aecret it holds. It allows you to discover it unravelling moment by moment, that which it conceals within.”💯
📌This is a perfect quote from the book which pushes you to grab this superb mystery.💯
📌To be honest, this is first mystery book ever and it turns out to be a thriller and chiller as well.
Well to begin with , the story sets in the Rann of Kutch in the village of Kuran which is the last Indian village on the Indo-Pak border. The protagonist Mankor lives with her two children. Her daughter Ranu was very dear to her . Her son Samar was a lad of 16. Her husband Virender was a tracker at the headquarters of BSF.
📌Every Navratri , Mankor used to wait for his husband.
📌But this Navratri festival gave a lot of twists and turns.
Virender was very happy this time ,when he returns back as he won a bravery medal .
📌Unfortunately, everything changed.
It was a murder that affected Mankor’s life. Her daughter was kidnapped even.
But who was the murderer??
Who kidnapped Ranu??

💫My views
The story is a beautiful blend of mystery and thrill. But heartbreaking too.
The presence of twos in the story maintained the thrill throughout the story. It was easy to discover though that Mankor was in a kind of shock.
Heavy emotions and pain led this story an ultimate one as it revealed the ugly truths of the society like female infanticide, marital rape, etc.
Taking baby to the milk pail shivered me. The climax was a sinister one. One can finish this book in no time as it is a power packed mystery . Really, a page turner. The readers will be hooked till the end.
💫Language and style
The language used is lucid. One can easily connect the words with the story.
💫Out and out mesmerising.
💫I recommend to all the book lovers.
